isn't the stoich ratio just the "ideal" ratio? as in, a compromise of hp and economy/eco? Most turbo cars add tons of fuel at boost levels in order to prevent detonating. Reducing it to 14.7:1 would cause detonation, causing badness, or requiring you to run less boost (aka less hp)
